Pastor Lucero has been serving Providence Reformed Church since its days as a church plant in August 2004.  He obtained his Bachelor of Arts from Pepperdine University in 1999 and his Master of Divinity from Westminster Seminary California in 2004.  He and his wife Amanda come from broad evangelical backgrounds but became Reformed during the period of 1996 to 1998 largely through the ministry Rev. Kim Riddlebarger and Rev. Michael Horton at Christ Reformed Church in Anaheim, California.  Their children are Owen (7), Ayva (5) and Monica (3).
