Dawn M. Linder - Reverend

Reverend Dawn M. Linder has moved from central Minnesota to central Iowa, having grown up on farms in northern Minnesota and North Dakota. She attended Jamestown College (a Presbyterian college), Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, and has since lived in North Dakota, Illinois and Minnesota.
She enjoys reading, quilting, hiking, music of many varieties, movies, art, technology, travel and learning about almost anything. One dog, Gertie, and 2 cats: Katie, Latte, are family in Dawn's household.
Dawn looks forward to exploring Des Moines and experiencing such things as the Iowa State Fair, the local symphony, opera nearby, Barnes & Noble, text study at the Presbytery office, and getting to know the many wonderful people of the congregation in Highland Park. She hopes you'll stop in and say hello when she's in the office.
Rev. Linder's office hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings from 9:00am until noon; and Monday through Thursday by appointment. |

| Kathlene Tenckinck DeFoe - Director of Music, Organist

| Kathlene became organist at HPPC in the fall of 2000, while still a student at Drake University. After graduating in 2002, she stayed on as organist and also became Director of Music. Besides regular Sunday music preparation Kathlene directs adult and youth handbell choirs, as well as helping with special worship services and Vacation Bible School. The daughter of a minister, she and her 3 siblings were born in Queens, N.Y. Kathlene and her husband, Tad, help cook Wednesday Family Night meals. Tad built the manger for Advent Worship Services and picnic tables for the children to use during VBS. |

| Shirley Markey - Accompianst
|
 |
| Shirley and her brother and sister grew up at HPPC. Having played the piano since two years old, she now accompanies for worship, special services, weddings, and funerals. Shirley's keen musical knowledge has been put to use in a variety of ways, including music selection for the choir, arranging special music for worship, and deciding on the purchase of a new grand piano. |

| Laura Peters - Nursery Coordinator

| Laura grew up in the church and was active in Sunday School, Youth Events, and Mission Trips. This fall, Laura and her husband, Landon, were blessed with a daughter, Aubrey. |

| Jodi Hildreth - Custodian
|
 |
| Jodi has been a member of the church since 1995 and fondly reflects back to her childhood when she attended HPPC with her mother and grandmother. As our custodian, she does a fine job at keeping our church clean, while working around all the groups and activities going on in our large facility. Jodi and her husband, Brian, have 8 children. They live on an acreage near Winterset. |
