First Reformed Church is one of more than nine hundred congregations in the Reformed Church in America (RCA). We have ministered in our own country and in missionary programs throughout the world since 1628. This gives us the distinction of being the oldest Protestant denomination on the North American continent.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and it is to be our only rule of faith and practice. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He is God the Son. We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Holy Trinity and it is through His power that each of us is equipped to live the Christian life.
We acknowledge that God has encouraged us to participate with Him in equipping His people. We pray that First Reformed is a place where that is taking place. Whether it be through worship or our various programs, we pray that we are a family who is BECOMING what God would want us to be.
