St. Paul's Position Statement

Our Beliefs

* We take God's Word Seriously!  We believe the Bible to be God's Word in all its parts.  (Many churches today say the Bible contains God's Word)

*We believe God created man to reflect His holiness and glory. (Leviticus 19:2)

*We believe that Adam and Eve really existed, (many people today think of them as only symbols and myths).

*We believe that since the fall of Adam and Eve into sin, mankind no longer reflects that holiness of God. (Romans 3:23)  Most people recognize this when they say, "Well, nobody's perfect."

*We believe that God to be unhappy and angry with man's continued rebellion (Romans 6:23)

*We believe it is man's nature to deny God and substitute himself and his own will for the revelation and direction of God. (Proverbs 14:12)

*We believe God had to take the initiative for man's renewal and salvation. (Ephesians 2:8,9)

*We believe that Jesus Christ, true God and true Man, took himself God's judgment against mankind, enabled God's forgiveness to be offered to us and opened the way for us to live renewed lives (John 3:16, Isaiah 53:6, Acts 4:12, 1 John 1:7, John 1:29)

*We believe that God offers mankind eternal life. (John 3:16)

*We believe that Christian faith must be nourished and exercised. (John 8:31-32)

*We believe that God has opened to us untold possibilities for our lives. (Matthews 19:26)

*We believe that God wants us to seek Him now. (Isaiah 55:6)
